Amaya's move into Latin America will soon be greater than ever when the Canadian software and systems designer debuts an array of ground-breaking gaming industry products at the Caribbean Gaming Show, March 3-4 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. A valued supplier to the Caribbean with renowned expertise and service, Amaya has secured the largest booth at the gaming expo. In addition to showcasing its multi-game Insync Platform, digital horse racing game Grand Prix Royal Derby and Mosino gaming tablet, Amaya will introduce its new bingo lottery software for Loto-Quebec's Bingo Mundo.
In September 2010, Montreal-based Amaya, a pioneer in the field of electronic devices and software for the gaming industry, announced the first deployment of the Mosino hospitality gaming system at CGS International Ltd properties. Amaya supplied 180 interactive Mosino units to the Trinidad-based company, all of which went straight onto the gaming floors throughout their Caribbean operations
As part of the agreement, Amaya was guaranteed minimum revenues of US$1,642,500 over the next five years from CGS through a product participation lease. Later in 2010, and due to the overwhelming success of the Mosino product, CGS ordered another 220 units, which now guarantees Amaya revenues in excess of US$3 million. Today Amaya's innovative gaming and hospitality product is being called, "a unique and totally flexible gaming experience".
Marc Williams, CEO CGS International, said: "We are delighted with the Mosino system; it is precise, user-friendly and is an interesting enhancement to the current gaming experience. Our customers and managers in the Caribbean are reporting extremely positive feedback with everything that the Mosino offers. Revenues achieved thus far are ahead of the projected budget and we are now working on the logistics to deploy additional systems in all our properties."
CGS is a Caribbean-based casino management company with offices in Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, as well as the USA and UK. CGS currently operates ten casinos in the region, with an ample range of services to meet the requirements of any casino project worldwide. Mr. Williams felt Amaya's interactive systems would complement their operations by giving players an added gaming option in their hotel rooms, away from the casino environment. As one client said: "I really enjoyed the option to leave the casino floor and play the same game in my room"
The Mosino is a proprietary gaming system allowing hospitality industry participants to offer gaming and other services on a variety of fixed or mobile devices. The Mosino can be loaded with any selection of peer-to-peer or house-banked games, with network or stand-alone capabilities. Of prime importance to hoteliers is the in-room Mosino system, capable of streaming media and targeted advertising promoting hotel and resort activities, as well as supporting local business through revenue stream advertising, plus a host of other interactive services.
What is more, Amaya signed an exclusive contract with Loto-Quebec for the distribution of a linked bingo hall operating system called Bingo Mundo. This product, developed with the Societe des Bingos du Quebec, a subsidiary of Loto-Quebec, was a huge success as it enables operators to increase their sales and revenue, offering larger jackpots. Amaya currently distributes Bingo Mundo to South America, Central America, the Caribbean and the eastern United States. (E-02.11.11)
