Regulatory issues are of great importance to gaming operators and manufacturers around the world, and those selling or buying in Latin America are no exception. On 25 May 2006 the III American Congress of Gaming Regulators is scheduled to commence at 10:30 a.m., at the start of SAGSE-Centroamérica in Panamá. Legislators from Central America, including Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, local Panamá and Puerto Rico, will be joined by those from further afield in Latin America, such as Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
The gathering of these legislators at the Congress enables an interchange of legal and operational experiences, allowing for the development of strategic regulation of the growing gaming industry in the region. SAGSE Centroamérica, which takes place over 25 and 26 May this year, has previously proved its success in promoting gaming industry products and services. Argentinean companies will be represented in strength, but state-of-the-art gaming technology from many countries will be on display.
SAGSE Centroamérica is being held at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City. Last year over 65% of those attending the exhibition came from outside Panama, with the USA, Argentina and Venezuela leading the 25 registered nations. Companies exhibiting this year come from all corners of the world, taking the opportunity to reach the maximum possible market for their products. Latin America is an important region for the gaming industry, and SAGSE Centroamérica, positioned as it is at the hub in Panama City, is fast becoming the place to see and be seen. (E-04.26.07)
