SAGSE Central America has successful first show

EXCELLENT EXHIBITOR RESPONSE

The SAGSE show organized at the Atlapa Center in Pamamá City over 26 and 27 May was a pronounced success, according to exhibitors. An excellent showcase for any company seeking to do business in Latin America, the expo displayed products and services from around the globe. Whilst the casino sector was well represented with over 38% of the stands, lotteries, i-gaming, bingo, tourism, design, cruise ships, security, marketing and the media all made their presence felt.

The United States led the field in visitor numbers, closely followed by Argentina. Australasia and Europe had a significant presence of companies offering a wide range of products. For a first gaming exhibition the Panamá show was well attended, if not on the scale of G2E or ICE. Exhibitors were well satisfied and some of their comments are below.

Santiago Tirado of Nova Desitec in Spain:
“The expo has given us an excellent oportunity to introduce and exhibit our company and products in this region. The event has provided valuable information to initiate our expansion towards this area, where we have sensed very good potential for our products.”

Hispania Casino Equipment of Palma de Mallorca – Rufino Serrano, CEO:
“The expo has been a total success for our company. Let’s not forget that most Panama Casinos use “Hispania” material: cylinders, tables, carpets... We can practically say that Panama is “Hispania territory”. SAGSE Central America has been useful to us for establishing contact with operators of countries such as Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua.... Seeing this, we have already reserved our stand for 2006.”

Sarah Tang from Singapore’s Waz Lian Gaming:
“...it has been a very positive experience with many repercussions by potential clients interested in our products. In fact, we have sold 150 machines during the exhibition, which makes this event even more lucrative for us.”

Recreativos Franco América - Manuel del Sol, Manager
“...Although we expected a larger volume of people, we believe that this being the first edition, it is probably the beginning of something that will go far.”

These are some of the very positive comments from exhibitors. The organizers are already making plans for the 2006 edition of SAGSE Centroamerica, which seems set to become an annual event alongside SAGSE Buenos Aires and SAGSE Peru. (E-06.15.05)
