Michael McNee and Ron Jeffrey to spearhead Sydney-based operation

Bally Technologies back in Australia and New Zealand

Bally Technologies is back in Australia and New Zealand, re-entering the market with a presence at the Australasian Gaming Expo at the beginning of next week and with a sales and service office now open in Sydney. At the Expo Bally will be presenting examples of its award-winning portfolio of advanced games and systems technologies at its 135 sq m stand #360. “It is time to officially announce to the world that Bally is bringing its 78 years of innovation back to the Australian market,” said Gavin Isaacs, Bally Technologies’ Chief Operating Officer. He continued, “One of the most exciting things for me is that we are coming into the market with our new and sophisticated Pro Series slot cabinets on our new ALPHA 2 gaming platform; a powerful hardware platform that enables dramatic new levels of interactivity, visual quality, and performance. This combination will enable us to offer Australia gaming operators the most exciting and compelling video and stepper games for players – right out of the gate.”

Show attendees will be able to see how the Pro Series cabinets add to the game excitement with a custom HD surround-sound stereo experience, game lighting synchronized with game play, and the iDeck for even greater player interaction. Additionally, Bally will showcase a number of games on its award-winning ALPHA Elite V32 vertical cabinet, including the industry’s hottest new game: Cash Spin with U-Spin gesture-control technology that enables players to spin a virtual bonus wheel on the display just as if it were an actual physical wheel.

Also on display will be several of Bally’s highly successful Quick Hit games and Bally will also present Fireball, one of its most successful video slot products. As part of Bally’s lofty Digital Tower Series, Fireball’s video top box dominates the slot floor with its spectacular animations, surround-sound audio, and other crowd-pleasing special effects. The company will also use the AGE show to introduce its award-winning portfolio of advanced slot accounting, player-tracking, marketing, and bonusing systems technology to the Australian gaming market.

Bally is recognized as the global industry systems leader with more than 417,000 machines and approximately 614 casino, bingo, Class II, central determination and lottery locations worldwide - including more than 315 locations currently running Bally eTICKET on more than 315,000 slot machines. “We offer Australia gaming operators a full package of world-class systems solutions,” said Ramesh Srinivasan, Executive Vice President – Bally Systems. “This includes our SDS slot management, slot accounting, and customer-relationship database marketing solution, augmented by our Bally Business Intelligence data analysis and player analytics tool; the iVIEW Technology Suite for in-game marketing, including iVIEW Display Manager (DM); Bally Command Center, a server-based solution for dynamic floor control from a central location; and Bally CoolSign, a property-wide, server-based media-management solution.”

To further underline its commitment to the local market, Bally has appointed veteran Australian gaming executives Michael McNee and Ron Jeffrey. McNee steps into the role of Managing Director of Bally Australia, and Jeffrey assumes the position of Sales Manager for Bally Australia. Both will be based out of Bally’s new regional office in Sydney, New South Wales. They will be teaming up with Cath Burns, Vice President and Managing Director of Bally Asia-Pacific, who is also an Australian.

Gavin Isaacs commented, “This experienced team’s understanding of the gaming market in Australia and New Zealand ensures that we will hit the ground running as we introduce our award-winning portfolio of industry-leading games and systems technology to Australia.” (E-08.05.10)
