The fourth TAB Austria Awards were presented during ATEI/ICE in London. An absorbing show evening with a relaxed atmosphere and characteristic Austrian hospitality, and one which was unforgettable for all the guests, partners and award winners.
TAB Austria was proud to present their new amusement and gaming business developments at ATEI/ICE 2009. It had already become apparent ahead of the show that a gaming concept such as the FUN4FOUR Multi-Game Terminal would become a bestseller. Several hundred of these multifaceted and more than innovative gaming tables were ordered during the show, opening up new market potential for TAB Austria at the same time. The MAX FIRE Jukebox with its unique “music to go” download feature enabling the saving of videos and music on mobile phones, MP3 players or USB sticks was very well received internationally.
Setting new standards in gaming entertainment for players and operators, the brand new, high-end Golden Island Casino Terminal also attracted a great deal of attention. With 2 extra wide 22” touch screens and an even higher performance games platform the Golden Island Casino Terminal was a real ATEI/ICE hit.
The TAB Austria Awards Show evening was staged on Wednesday 28 January 2009 in traditional celebratory style with guests from more than 35 countries and a great atmosphere.
“It is a great honour for me to welcome you here in London to the annual TAB-Austria Awards. We have all established new ways to change the amusement and gaming business with innovation and intuition. Our mutual success is what brings us together here every year”. It was with these words that Mr Siegfried Dattl, Managing Director of TAB, began his address at the presentation of the annual TAB Awards in London.
Some 120 guests accepted the invitation to the awards presentation evening with the fourth TAB Austria Awards being an ATEI/ICE highlight. A relaxed atmosphere, good food, specially imported Austrian wines and a fantastic show component were the focus of this gala evening.
Awards were made in a total of 4 categories each with 3 nominations. The awards presented totalled more than EURO 24,000.00 and were divided into the following categories:
*Best Technical Performance
*Best Marketing
*Best Overall Performance
*Special Award
The prize for “Best Technical Performance” went to The Global Draw while the award for “Best Marketing” went to Nevio Sárl in Luxembourg. The “Special Award” stayed in Austria where it went to BGT (Best Gaming Technology) and the award for “Best Overall Performance” was secured by C+P Automatenhandel from Switzerland.
Following the award presentations the soul-funk diva Pamela O´Neal provided a breathtakingly strong performance of Tina Turner hits: a successful evening and a more than successful ATEI/ICE 2009 for TAB Austria. Commitment, creativity and continuity remain our cornerstones for 2009 and our “Better games through innovation” slogan is much more than just a logo. (E-02.09.09)
