Having launched a television campaign advertising 'The Right to Bet' to support those in the US who would like to choose whether to make bets or not, which is being seen in 20 cities including Washington, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, the largest Online gaming company in the world - BETonSPORTS.com - has now announced a public initiative called 'Regulate or Prohibit Online Gaming'.
The publicity campaign on television will be supported by newspaper advertising at national level with the objective of persuading the public to sign petitions to their congressmen and formalise a debate that would make the legislation of Online gaming a priority in the country.
Proposition 1 seeks to promote adecuate legislation for the consumer who gambles Online, and BETonSPORTS indicates that the principal points encapsulated in the project will be announced after the November 2nd election.
The initiative has been designed to create a benchmark for realistic and reasonable legislation for Online gaming in the USA. There will be meetings at national level with participation from experts in law, academics, industry professionals and members of the government, in order to stimulate the necessary debate before deciding the critical points. Federal legislation should recognize the growth in popularity of Online gaming and above all bring in laws to protect the consumer.
The discussions will start with a focus on the merits of a proposed law in Congress and continue with the policy of the Ministry of Justice that seeks to ban any publicity for Online gaming in the country.
