Citing the challenge of the World of Games expo, which premiered this summer in Moscow, Unicum is responding with technological advances, more floor space and partnership with ATE publication Casino Review for EELEX 2005. One new service is the online registration that will enable visitors to receive their badges and invitations to all three show days before the exhibition opens on 20 December. A newly designed eelex.net website has full information.
Whilst the usual free Internet, copying and fax facilities will remain at the Internet Café, this year there will also be free WiFi connection for laptops and PDAs anywhere in Pavilion 2. The EELEX exhibition continues to grow and now is arguably the third largest industry show in the world, with representatives from all the major gaming manufacturers and service providers present. There are also increasing numbers of new companies exhibiting at the show, and the organizers are considering expanding the floor space available by reserving an extra pavilion.
Another innovation this December will be a bakery offering freshly cooked items to tempt guests to take a few moments to relax. A restaurant or café will be built where business meetings can be held or a short break taken in a busy day. A press zone will be set up for the 22 industry magazines that will be there to see and be seen, and there will be 8 press-racks around the pavilion where copies of all the publications can be found. Casino Review is the official publication of the exhibition.
EELEX 2005 will be closer to Christmas than usual (20 – 22 December) making it a scramble for some exhibitors to dismantle their stands and get back home in time to celebrate. Russian festivities come two weeks later, in January. After the hard work of exhibiting is over, Christmas among the magical spires of Moscow could be a great opportunity to explore the city, where the original Kremlin was built as a fortress in 1331.
