An aggressive plan to continue global expansion has seen Bally Technologies’ international business triple over the past three years. The company has opened new sales and support offices in Barcelona, Spain and Midrand, South Africa, with another in Mexico City due to open in the spring. Bally is the world’s leading gaming systems company and offers an array of casino management, slot accounting, bonusing, cashless and table management solutions, many developed by its team based in Nice, France.
Dominating the casino systems market, Bally is now investing heavily in India.
Over US$32 million is earmarked this year for investment in India, with expansion at the company’s development centres in Bangalore and Chennai. Last month Bally demonstrated its first game from India at the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) in London. Although four-fifths of its business in India is systems, Bally is building up its games team. However, COO Gavin Isaacs is not expecting the Indian gaming market to open up in the short-term.
As John Connelly, Bally Technologies’ Vice President of International explains, “We have made significant progress over the past 24 months in re-establishing Bally as a global leader. With this said, we continue to evolve and enhance our international strategy and infrastructure on a daily basis to ensure that we are providing our customers with the products that will perform in their particular region and localized support to ensure that we can deliver the most responsive customer service.” (E-02.11.08)
