The Cámara Argentina de Salas de Bingo y Anexos (CASBA), issued a press release yesterday informing the general public about the advance of swine flu (the H1N1 virus) in the country and the measures that it is taking as the Chamber representing all bingo and gaming properties in Argentina.
Jorge Pereyra, president of CASBA issued a series of measures to be implemented by all gaming operators, which have been sanctioned by the authorities and specialists on the virus, saying: "Further than following the intentions of the experts on this matter, this fight has to be undertaken by us all, by being responsible each and everyone of us and thinking that it is not possible to protect ourselves without thinking about those close to us."
He added, "We are at the forefront of the comunity we represent, and as the Chamber we ask everyone to play an active part in this situation because there is an individual factor on the care and prevention issues that is very important, so that we may be able to overcome this current problem".
CASBA has asked its members to adopt precautions to guarantee the physical safety of the workers at the properties and clients who visit them, giving top priority to hygiene and making available the necessary health and cleaning articles for constant hand cleanliness, and any other measures necessary. Aditionally, there is a directive to inform everyone at the gaming properties on the new health and hygiene measures using all available means, including the use of PA systems. (E-07.08.09)
