Described as a succinct yet thorough report into Indian gaming today, the Casino City Press has published the Indian Gaming Industry Report, which comprehensively covers the tribal casino industry in the United States. The author of the cutting-edge report is Dr Alan Meister, Manager at Analysis Group, Inc. Dr Meister received national recognition for his economic impact study on Indian gaming and has testified before the Californian State Senate on Indian gaming issues.
Key findings in the latest edition include the fact that Indian gaming made a significant contribution to the US economy in 2004 and that its growth remained strong at 12%. Expectations remain high as Indian gaming shows faster growth than commercial gaming, although not as rapid as racino growth. There are over 350 Indian gaming facilities at present in the United States, and the top Indian gaming states generated the vast majority of tribal gaming revenues. Revenue sharing by Indian gaming has also risen. The report concludes that Class III machines may provide most of the gaming revenue but the Class II machine play is growing faster.
State-by state reviews and comparisons, revenue data and market trends as well as economic impact analysis ensure that this publication, in its fourth year, is a vital tool for everyone involved with tribal gaming. The study is the product of independent academic research and was not commissioned. The Indian Gaming Industry Report is published twice a year and Casino City Press is offering the current and next issue for $199.95 “Two issues for the price of one!” (E-06.15.05)
