Early signs of high attendance at 2009 International Gaming Expo

Initial response highly encouraging

Initial response from buyers to the 2009 International Gaming Expo, incorporating ICE and ICEi, has been highly encouraging, according to organisers Clarion Gaming, who have released the first wave of pre-registration data.

An analysis of the figures reveals a 34.1 per cent increase in pre-registrations for free entry badges, compared with the same stage last year (11 weeks out).

IGE Marketing Manager, Charlotte Skinner believes that the figures reflect positively on the vision behind the International Gaming Expo. She explained: “Our pre-registration data confirms the value of creating an event which embraces land-based casinos, remote gaming, low stake gaming, iVTs and ancillary products. Visitors to IGE will have access to the universe of gaming equipment systems and platforms all in a single location. The spike in our pre-registration figures reflects IGE’s status as the most complete gaming exhibition on the calendar.”

The organizers have expanded the range of discounted accommodation available to visitors attending the Earls Court shows in January.

Situated in and around the Earls Court district, the show hotel roster comprises an unprecedented 27 hotels ranging from economical 3-star rooms starting at £76 (€91 / $114) per night to luxury penthouse suites in some of west London’s finest 5-star deluxe establishments. ATEI and IGE visitors quoting ‘Clarion ATE’ at the time of booking will benefit from special show prices representing discounts off the standard rack rate of up to 30 per cent.

Clarion Gaming Events Co-ordinator, Daniel Wiseman said: “We go to great lengths to ensure that our customers benefit from the best possible hotel deals without compromising on the quality of the accommodation. Whilst we have increased the overall number of room nights on offer, demand for certain hotels may be greater than others, so I would urge visitors to book early to avoid disappointment.”

The list of hotels, together with room rates, descriptions and booking instructions, can be found at www.atei-exhibition.com and www.ige-exhibition.com. The International Gaming Expo takes place across 27-29 January. Registration for free entry can be made online at www.ige-exhibition.com. (E-11.20.08)
