In 2005 Densitron Gaming Ltd was established as a division of Densitron Technologies PLC and the following year a Las Vegas Office was opened, but it was in 1998 that the first prototype computer boards for gaming rolled off the production lines and into slot machines. The company now has an installed base in casinos in the USA, Australia, Russia, South Africa and Eastern Europe, and continues to develop new products to suit the unique hardware requirements of the evolving global gaming industry.

On 13 November 2007, at G2E in Las Vegas, Densitron Gaming will be changing its name to Innocore Gaming Ltd, a name chosen to convey that the company’s goal is to become the number one supplier of innovative technology solutions to the gaming industry. “INNO (short for innovation) portrays our innovative products and the company's forward looking innovative approach to products and solutions for the gaming industry. Those solutions provide our customers with stable, high quality, high performance platforms for their games - the technology at the CORE of gaming devices.”

In contrast to mass produced commercial grade motherboards, Densitron designs for robust and reliable operation and longevity rather than low cost. Careful attention is paid to signal termination, power supply design, EMC and signal integrity. Thermal management is also taken into account during the design and testing stages to ensure that the product performance is optimized for a casino environment where operation is 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To celebrate the name change, Densitron is organizing a competition to win a 4GB iPod nano, for which every completed questionnaire is entered in the draw. The questionnaire is designed to help the company design its products to meet their customers' needs in all gaming markets around the world. The company has also announced the sale of a new audio amplifier board, which is a flexible solution that can be used with both standalone gaming boards (DPX-112) and also with the ConnectBus(R) boards (DPX-116, DPX-117). The new Card provides high quality Class D stereo or full surround sound amplification on a small module that fits directly onto the motherboard or backplane and drives up to five 4 or 8 Ohm speakers.
