Major manufacturers and distributors maintain Latin American offices in Lima

PERU GAMING SHOW 2006 – VIP EDITION

The Convention Centre at the Jockey Plaza in Lima will open its doors for the fourth consecutive year for the fastest growing and most innovative show in the Latin American region. On 3 and 4 August the Peru Gaming Show 2006 – VIP Edition organized by Business & Leisure, the 2004 winner of the national Best Company Award, will gather over 70 companies from countries as diverse as Russia, Korea, England and Australia to present their products to this booming market.

This year, in its VIP Edition, Business & Leisure in consideration of its exhibiting companies has concerned itself with surprising visitors with something different from other gaming industry shows. In celebration of Peru’s cuisine being rated one of the world’s best, the Peru Gaming Show 2006 will be the first themed show with a Gastronomic Festival plus conference and forums directed by experts from international gaming, banking, financial and other sectors.

The Latin American Gaming Association (ALAJA) will be presenting a conference on Responsible Gaming, aimed at northern bloc countries in South America: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and international experts will discuss the important discipline of casino marketing. These two highly relevant subjects are just two of the topical events prepared for the VIP Edition of the Peruvian exhibition.

In a press interview Elizabeth Leiva, event organizer, stated: “the lapse in 2005 of the association of our logo with that of SAGSE was rapidly overcome after both companies realized that objectives could not be achieved by the terms under which we were cooperating. We have always been the Peru Gaming Show and will maintain our position amongst other shows in the region.”

Elizabeth added, “Geographically Peru is in a privileged position regionally to establish itself as the headquarters of the Latin American gaming industry. The principal global manufacturers and distributors have their Latin American offices in Lima because Peri has a growing market with more than 900 slot machine operations, 7 casinos and another two multi million dollar casino resort complexes under construction.” (E-06.16.06)
