Last week Enjoy group, the leading casino operator in Chile, presented its latest property to the local gaming regulators prior to its opening. Sited in the municipality of Rinconada to the north of the country's capital city, the Enjoy Santiago has followed a 5-month conversion with total investment at US$130 million. When finished in December it will also include a 5-star 120-room hotel.

The new casino is the eighth property owned by the Chilean group, and has 1,000 slots, 50 gaming tables, 200 bingo positions, a VIP room, and an exclusive Poker Room, the only one of its kind in the country. The casino offers the Santerra, a large buffet restaurant, and a spectacular circular bar in the middle of the casino called Bar 360º, boasting a screen that goes 360 degrees with images available to all the visitors. It also has a novel screen that runs the casino perimeter from beginning to end. The Bar Lounge is another casino feature, where live artists will perform throughout the year.

The regulators and local dignitaries also visited the rest of the facilities, which have design and ambiance using new technology to the country. The property has a disco, a live show theatre, an arena for mass live entertainment and music, a boulevard and an all-weather piazza, an exclusive spa and gym, and a convention and business centre.

The new Santiago Enjoy is some 32 miles on the Los Libertadores highway from Santiago, and the latest of the Enjoy properties, which include casinos and hotels in the Chilean cities of Antofagasta, Coquimbo, Viña del Mar, Santa Cruz, Pucón, Puerto Varas, and one in the city of Mendoza in Argentina.
