The South American Gaming Show opened in Buenos Aires yesterday at its usual Costa Salguero venue. Now in its sixteenth year SAGSE has evolved into one of the major gaming industry shows, hard on the heels of London and Las Vegas. All the major players are exhibiting as SAGSE attracts buyers from around the extensive Latin American market – a growing and vibrant market. The very latest in gaming innovation and technology is on display until Friday.
In the morning the Yogonet conference ey!08 discussed ‘Ticket In Ticket Out Secrets’ with a panel of experts from the sector, one of a series of conferences that include topics such as server-based gaming, responsible gaming, casino management systems, mobile telephone betting and casino marketing. The conference series ends today with a discussion on the rising popularity of poker in South America.
Emphasising the importance of the Latin American market was the reappearance of IGT at SAGSE with the latest developments for the region on show right in front of the entrance. The 20,000 sq m exhibition hall is filled with every conceivable product and service for the gaming industry from both local and international companies. Yet again SAGSE Buenos Aires has proved itself to be a valuable showcase of all that is new and exciting in the gaming world. (E-10.16.08)
