Non-gaming sectors also on show at G2E

Innovation at Las Vegas expo

This year’s G2E in Las Vegas is not only about gaming manufacturers, service providers and associated industries. With non-gaming amenities becoming ever more critical for operators, G2E has introduced several new exhibition areas. The Retail Promenade brings together products from jewellery to golf apparel and exhibitors from vendors to franchises. The Retail Conference Track covers topics that should assist casinos to get the best out of retail space at their properties.

Also new to G2E is the Entertainment Arena, designed to highlight the importance of entertainment as part of the gaming industry. Dedicated exhibits bring a broad range of technologies such as the latest in professional audio and lighting, staging, and projection/video products that help create magical live performances. G2E Entertainment Showcase offers live performances all three days of the show.

Apart from the hunt for the latest state-of-the-art gaming equipment, visitors to G2E will this year benefit from five new cafes/bars/lounges on the show floor. Ranging from places to grab a drink, get healthy snacks or cocktails, those at the show can take time out to rest or to network. There is also the G2E Online Education Centre where G2E conference sessions, industry articles and white papers are available on a wide range of industry topics and trends.

The greatest gaming show on earth is expected to draw around 30,000 industry professionals to the Las Vegas Convention Center this week. Recent innovations as well as a look into the future are offered by over 750 exhibitors, with 65 companies making a first visit to G2E. There is plenty to see and plenty to learn about the global gaming industry and visitors to G2E 2008 have the opportunity to catch up with the very best products and services available in today’s competitive gaming market.
