SAGSE LEADS EXPO INNOVATIONS

The annual gaming exhibitions always get off to a great start with ICE in January, and continue worldwide throughout the year to Eelex in December. Every year there are additional shows in additional countries and one of the very newest this year is ChileCasinos 2005 (18-19 May), being organised at short notice in Santiago after Chile approved its new gambling law that will see 17 major casino projects developed around the country.

Exhibition organizers seem to be constantly upgrading their websites to provide a better service for visitors and exhibitors. ICE this year offered a visa service that could help people overseas make the necessary visa arrangements, and the first exhibition of SAGSE-Centroamerica in Panama (26-27 May) has made a dynamic innovation to its registration process.

The organizers of the show, to be held at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City, have sent to all the delegates, businesses and industry officials an online form whereby they can register and print out their expo pass. The pass contains a bar code with personalised information about each holder, which will facilitate the recording of the visitor statistics beloved by exhibition organizers.

The costs for exhibiting around the globe are not inconsiderable but manufacturers and service providers need to keep their products at the forefront of industry recognition. With competition growing for exhibitors and visiting professionals at gaming industry shows, any new idea or technological advance that can make the process of showing or viewing easier is bound to reflect well on an organizer.
