SAGSE Buenos Aires 2009 ready to go

The largest gaming industry show in Latin America starts tomorrow with the fifth conference organized by yogonet.com, ey!09. Over 30 September and 1 October, 8:30 – 14:00, panels of experts from all aspects of the gaming world will discuss the most relevant topics in Latin American gaming, including the impact of Server-Based Gaming, the present situation and future potential of the Mexican gaming market, the road to a Brazilian gaming law, and problematical but promising sports betting.

Amongst the panel of experts will be Professor I Nelson Rose of ‘Gambling and the Law’ fame. On Day 2 he will be speaking about corporate responsibility in the gambling industry. Joining him to discuss the subject will be Mary Luz Londoño García, who was the president of the Colombian gaming board ETESA, and Beatrice Rangel, president of Codere Argentina. Also on Day 2, Zacarías Leone from ZLSSC will be sharing his knowledge of security measures for the gaming industry and the prevention of fraud.

SAGSE Buenos Aires expo will open its doors tomorrow afternoon at 14:30 at the Centro Costa Salguero. The big international gaming companies will be there from their manufacturing bases around the world and with their Latin American subsidiaries: Aristocrat and Ainsworth from Australia, Novomatic and Atronic from Austria, Konami from Japan, Bally and IGT from the US, to name but a few. Many other European, North and South American, Asian and African companies also will be represented, offering innovative products for the gaming industry.

It is the 17th year that Monografie SA has organised SAGSE and this year the show is sponsored by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions, joint producers of the annual G2E expo in Las Vegas. The gaming media will be out in force reporting from the exhibition and conference, which is expected to attract visitors from all over Latin America and further afield. SAGSE Buenos Aires 2009 will close on Friday 2 October after three days of exhibiting the best products and services available to the industry decision makers in the region. (E-09.29.09)
