The time has now expired for reserving space at a discounted price for next year’s Colombian Expo in Bogotá on 29-30 March, and most of the big names in the industry will be there. FADJA has already confirmed its position as one of the most profitable and effective events on the gaming industry exhibition calendar, centred as it is for markets in Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and Panama. These neighbouring countries and Colombia offer great opportunities for gaming manufacturers and service providers – Colombia alone is replacing 30,000 slot machines around the country.
FADJA 2006 will take place in the Gran Salon de Corferias under the auspices of Colombia’s Ministry of Trade and Tourism, and both government and trade organizations will be well represented. Next year’s exhibition will be even larger than FADJA 2005 and will be followed by the amusement expo, in its third year, on 1-2 April. Floor area for the expo is being increased to 6,000 sq m and the figures from 2005 of 70 exhibitors from 15 countries are sure to be exceeded in 2006.
The ease of acquiring business visas and government tax breaks for foreign investors plus a stable legal framework make Colombia an ideal country for the gaming industry. There is increasing interest from companies around the world, particularly Asia, for Latin American subsidiaries and distributors. FADJA 2006 will promote that growing gaming industry and give established companies a showcase for their products. Practising workshops will take place on surveillance and security for casinos and the close of the show will be ‘A Casino Night in Bogotá.’ (E-07.21.05)
