Regulatory and responsible gaming experts to feature in South American expo

CHILECASINOS 2006 FEATURES INDUSTRY SEMINARS

The second edition of ChileCasinos 2006 in the capital city Santiago, over 5 and 6 December at the Espacio Riesco Convention Centre, will feature renowned experts in industry disciplines such as gaming regulations, responsible gaming and customer services. Each day William Eadington, director of Las Vegas University's Gaming Institute, will speak on regulatory gaming tendencies in casino jurisdictions throughout the world, and the models developed during the past decade.

As Chair of the Philip G. de Satre, Eadington has immense knowledge on betting systems, commercial gambling, legislation and regulatory aspects of the industry, apart from his role as expert on problm gambling at the addiction centre in Harvard Medical School. From Vienna, Hermann Pamminger, Corporate and Customer Care director of Casinos Austria International will deal with responsible gaming and prevention of gambling addiction.

Also present at Chilecasinos 2006 Robert Schaerer, GLI operations manager, and Hugh Monypenny, founder of BMM Testlabs, will discuss requirements and technical standards for gaming devices operating in Chile. And on the hospitality sector, Jorge Maino, Achmanrt president and Hernan Lewin, prsedident on Hotelga will digress on the economic, tourist and social impact of the new Chilean gaming industry.

In an interview published by industry media Ding News, Francisco Panisello, ChileCasinos’ director, said that all expo space has already been taken up, adding that: "Many companies are committed to take part, such as: Comercial Miyama from Taiwán, TCS John Huxley, G Design, Merito S.A, from Argentina, Fadja from Colombia, Prodiversion Canada and Industrias Catan from Panama, Austrian Gaming Industries GMBH from Austria, Casinfo from USA, plus Family Einterteiment and Guest Gate, both from Chile, amongst others.

As the most important gaming show in the country, ChileCasinos 2006, will exhibit in some 45,000 sq. ft. the latest gaming devices available to the international market, casino design and decor products, as well as industry security systems, among many products and services on offer. In all likelihood, by the time the event takes place, all 15 new casino licences in the country will have been assigned, with the assistance to the event of everyone involved in the development of an exciting and promising industry for this buoyant South American economic 'tiger'.
