For a considerable time manufacturers of equipment for amusement arcades and similar have turned their attention to the electronic gaming machine sector. A case in point is Bally Technologies which over three-quarters of a century ago started out manufacturing pin-ball machines. Since then many in the amusement industry have branched out into gaming machine manufacture and even gaming operations.
One company doing things in reverse is the Australian slot machine manufacturer Aristocrat, Subsidiary Aristocrat Technologies Spain S.L., based in Barcelona, is entering the Spanish low stake gaming market. The new Aristocrat products are on show at the amusements exhibition Fer Interazar 2008 which opens today in Madrid.
Merkur Gaming, part of the Gauselmann Group, is also on show at Fer Interazar. For the Spanish market the company has created ‘Casino Wheel’ with state-of-the-art LED technology, low energy consumption and almost unlimited use with minimum maintenance. The Merkur Gaming platform ‘Games Unlimited’ offers ten exciting games, including Amazonia, Alambra and Champions Poker.
Global Zitro is introducing its revolutionary system Blackwave at a special presentation, claiming that the future has arrived. The company describes the hardware as ‘ultimate generation’ with technology that allows the player to experience a new sensation of interaction and Blackwave sound. Zitro offers a video slot game ‘A Mythical Bet’ and a bingo game ‘Disco Ball’ with Blackwave technology. (E-09.24.08)
