Las Vegas makes another millionaire

A FORTUNE FROM IGT

In the early hours of yesterday a man from New York was glad he had stayed up to play the Wheel of Fortune at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Russell Sears, a worker in the finance industry, won $4.1 million in the Nevada MegaJackpots system operated by IGT, and at age 59 will now consider retirement. He is also planning house purchases for his children and a contribution to a charity such as the Make A Wish Foundation.

All IGT MegaJackpots are paid, after verification, in annual instalments, except for the MegaJackpots Instant Winners Jackpots and Rapid Riches MegaJackpots, which are paid in their entirety upon verification. The Wheel of Fortune is the most popular television game show in the world and IGT is a world leader in the manufacture of gaming machines and proprietary software for progressive gaming systems.

International Game Technology’s gaming division encompasses product and systems development that includes the wide area progressives MegaJackpots, sales and casino services, as well as its proprietary gaming products. Sales, service and manufacturing sites are maintained globally, in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America, in addition to locations around North America. Games include the ever popular Double Diamond and Red, White and Blue slot machines and its latest Star Wars product.
