Fournier, leading manufacturer of casino playing cards since 1868, will introduce during the IGE Show 2009, January 27-29 (booth 3250) their latest innovation, a product aimed to increase security at Baccarat tables. After years of joint investigation with United States Playing Cards, leaders in Macao, where Baccarat is the dominant game, Fournier launches the “Security Baccarat Shoe”, an easy-to-use machine that will reduce enormously the risks of losses in the casino.

The “Security Baccarat Shoe” identifies the cards by means of a proprietary code and shows the results in a display. This increases in a remarkable way the security at Baccarat tables where the casino has faced traditionally a high risk.

Javier Berasategui, Export Director of the Spanish firm, says that the philosophy that is all around the company is to offer the maximum security to the casino.

“We have been manufacturing the most secure playing cards for 141 years, and every year we are a little bit better in this field. Now it was the right time to take a step forward and find new solutions for the Baccarat game, a game that due to its characteristics leaves some security breaches opened.
