RESEARCH AT NCRG TO BENEFIT

JCM American and the American Gaming Association (AGA) are to present the 7th Annual JCM/AGA Golf Classic. April 25 is the date set for the tournament at one of Nevada’s finest golf courses – the Revere Golf Club in Henderson. Companies from across the gaming industry will participate and organizers are hoping to raise $80,000 for the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) and its vital research programmes.

Operators, manufacturers, suppliers and the media will support the competition in a variety of ways, from individual entries at $325 to sponsorship of the event. JCM’s Jill Grismer at (702) 651-0000 is available for further information and registration. The deadline for entry into the tournament is April 4.

The NCRG was established in 1996 and funds research on gambling disorders and programmes for public education in the United States. It is the only national organization devoted exclusively to these aims and to date has issued over $8 million in support of groundbreaking research on problem gambling.

JCM, based in Osaka in Japan and with US headquarters in Las Vegas, is an industry leader in currency handling systems, with products, software and services to gaming, banking, vending, entertainment and petroleum industries. Internationally it has subsidiaries in Hong Kong, London, Düsseldorf and Sydney.

The AGA represents the casino entertainment industry in federal legislative and regulatory issues. It also develops educational and advocacy programmes and provides leadership on industry-related matters of public concern.

The 7th Annual Golf Classic not only raises money for the NCRG but also helps to raise awareness by gaming industry leaders of problem gambling. JCM is recognized as an invaluable supporter of the NCRG and since its debut in 1999, the golf tournament has raised over $350,000. (E-03.29.05)
