The Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE), the region’s largest gaming equipment Trade Exhibition, runs from 16 – 18 August at Darling Harbour’s Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. Organized by the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), a not-for-profit industry association, this year sees the 20th annual staging of the event. The 2009 expo has 170 exhibitors, amongst them leading gaming machine manufacturers such as Australian companies Ainsworth Game Technology and Aristocrat Technologies.
Today GTA has announced that already 10,000 people have registered to attend AGE. “Interest levels are higher than ever this year” said GTA’s Chief Executive, Ross Ferrar. “There’s a renewed sense of confidence and optimism among the exhibitors, who have been preparing for the trade exhibition at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre since Wednesday.”
In addition to the trade exhibition, the Australasian Gaming Briefing will
present two hours of current and insightful commentary to a capacity crowd from 4pm Sydney time on Monday 17 August. The Briefing will also be webcast live and in full.
Ross Ferrar commented, “This show has a long tradition of delivering the latest, world’s-best products and services with a gaming flavour and a breadth of displays which is second to none. Exhibitors have been helped in their efforts by the largest gaming trade promotion campaign in Australia and superb background support systems.” (E-08.14.09)
