Just like in the old days of Bill Harrah, when
casino promotions were a daily affair, Harrah’s
Entertainment Inc., the world’s largest casino
operator has launched a repeat of last year’s mass
consumer promotion supported by Coca Cola, arguably
the world’s top brand, and movie rental global brand
Blockbuster. Starting last Monday, customers at 19 Harrah's
casinos can participate in Harrah's "Winning Will Find
You" promotion, in which Harrah's customers can win a
chance to take home from US$2,500 up to US$1 million.
The promo is very simple and is sure to prove very
popular with everyone, and not just Harrah’s regulars.
Customers visiting any of the 19
participating Harrah's-operated casinos nationwide
simply display or sign up for their Total Rewards
player loyalty cards to receive a free 12-pack of
Coke(R) or Diet Coke(R) and a voucher for a free
Blockbuster movie rental. Some of the properties
will also issue a collectible "WinFinder(SM)" key
chain that could be worth up to US$1,000.
One in every seven WinFinders(SM) distributed at the
casinos will light up within two hours, awarding
customers up to US$1,000 in cash. Thirty-eight
specially marked cans of Coca-Cola classic are inside
12-packs distributed at the participating casinos.
Each eligible recipient of a winning can will receive
a place in Harrah's 2005 US$1 million “Winning Will
Find You” event to be held at Showboat - the Mardi
Gras Casino in Atlantic City. Beginning at 12:01 a.m.
Eastern on May 4, customers can also play online at
the Harrah’s website where they will have another
chance to be entered to win the US$1 million.
Each participant in the 2005 US$1 million “Winning
Will Find You” drawing is guaranteed to win at least
US$2,500, and one person will walk away with US$1
million. Each participating casino is guaranteed to
distribute two winning cans throughout the course of
the promotion. On July 10, two additional winning cans
will be distributed at each participating casino,
giving customers more chances to win. The drawing
participants will be able to view the drawing live via
a simulcast hosted at the Showboat.
Harrah's Operating Company, Inc., the operating
subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. teamed with
The Coca-Cola Company for a similar promotion under
the same name last year. The 2005 Winning Will Find
You promotion, which launches May 2, will build upon
its predecessor's success with the addition of
Blockbuster Inc., a leading global provider of in-home
movie and game entertainment.
