Hit Group chooses Bally for its Slovenian gaming centres

THE NETWORKED FLOOR OF THE FUTURE

In April this year the Slovenia-based Hit Company, founded 20 years ago as a small F&B business, could have been described as taking a hit when joint venture partner Harrah’s Entertainment pulled out of a huge casino complex project in Nova Gorica. At that time Hit stated “The Hit Company will continue actions to accomplish the project and building of the tourist town, as this represents the certainty of the company’s long-term successful operation and the transfer to the new development stage. The realization of the project will enable better use of the extraordinary Slovenian geographic location and the development, over a wide range, of the tourist offer.”

The Hit Group ranks among the largest entertainment providers in Europe, with around 3,300 gaming machines and over 150 gaming tables. Bally Technologies, a leader in slots, video machines, casino management systems and networked solutions for the global gaming industry, has announced that Hit Group has selected Bally's Networked Floor of the Future systems solutions for its high-speed, Ethernet gaming floors at its gaming and entertainment centres in Slovenia.

Bally will install its full casino management and slot management systems solutions along with its iVIEW network that will ultimately deliver interactive player content to each of the Hit Group's gaming machines. Bally's product offering to the Hit Group also includes the Company's new multiple language and foreign currency exchange capabilities. Full execution of the agreement for the Hit Group's properties is based on successful "go-lives" at multiple properties.

Niko Trost, MSc, President of the Management Board of Hit, said: "For the Hit Group, the introduction of Bally's system is of key importance for the increased business competitiveness, especially in the field of upgrading the system of relations with guests – CRM." Hit chose Bally after a highly competitive selection process in which they evaluated a number of companies based on the quality of products, systems functionality, and the ability to support international customers.

"We feel honored to have been selected by the Hit Group after such an extensive evaluation, and look forward to providing one of Europe's largest gaming operators our Networked Floor of the Future," said Richard M. Haddrill, Chief Executive Officer and President of Bally Technologies. "This contract reflects Bally's continued commitment to becoming the global gaming technology leader."

For its sophisticated marketing initiatives, the Hit Group will use Bally's robust, player-centric Power Bonusing tools for coupons, sweepstakes, and other rewards and incentive programs. Bally has also partnered with the Hit Group and is providing professional and technical services to help the gaming operator develop unique system features and programs for the Slovenian market and its current regulations.
