The GEN2 Universal ticket printers provide a migration path for downloadable games and support all current and emerging game types via one of three communication ports: RS232 (backward compatible), NetPlex (backward compatible), and USB 2.0 Full Speed (future GSA compliant, IGT compliant).

The GEN2 Universal connection architecture is available in both the standard GEN2 Universal printer and the GEN2 VST Universal vertical format printer, which is designed specifically for use with space-saving slim-top machines and kiosk applications. All GEN2 Universal printers feature the ITH (Intelligent Ticket Handling) technology, which makes the "cash-out ticket" available ONLY after the ticket is fully printed internally and automatically burst – to eliminate player interference and ensure a clear, crisp, readable image.

The new PromoNet promotional coupon system will help casinos design and manage a wide range of promotional campaigns from the convenience of a workstation PC, and can be used with any gaming machine that is equipped with FutureLogic’s popular GEN2 Universal printer. This secure system approach ensures that casino servers are in full control of all communication with the printers and cash-out tickets, and offers casinos of any size a flexible and cost-effective promotional coupon solution.

The PromoNet Campaign Management Tool will allow casino marketers to quickly create multiple graphic coupons, using a second colour and a variety of font styles and sizes. Promotions can be customized to employ a wide range of triggers, including incentives, length of play, frequency of issue, wagering activity and other user-definable criteria.
