April saw IGT’s first Russian EZ Pay installation at the Casino de Paris owned and operated by the Korston Group of companies. Casino de Paris is in a unique position in the huge Moscow gaming market as its door counts can average as high as 3,500 people per day. With such a high volume of people visiting the property each day, the benefits of a cashless gaming system were believed to be well suited to the Casino de Paris operation.

Also, considering the casino’s number of high-level players, Casino de Paris decided that a cashless system was necessary to take gaming in Moscow to a new level. Management conducted research of all the systems available, and that lead them directly to EZ Pay.

Director of Gaming Operations Clay Spalding said, “Our customers are satisfied with the security of tickets, and the transition to cashless play has been remarkably easy. Once they try it, they like it. In the very near future, we plan to offer several programs using the promo ticket feature to enhance play. We want to capture and hold onto every one of those people coming through our doors for as long as we can, and promo ticket will be just one tool we’ll use to do that. It’s definitely one of the system’s most powerful assets.”

Personnel at Casino de Paris have actively gathered customer responses and to quote a few… “We love it.” “It’s really easy to use.” “It gives me more freedom to play at my own pace.” And, “I don’t have to wait for my hand pays anymore. I just take my ticket and move to another machine.” Even the slot personnel were impressed with EZ Pay. They said, “Now we have time to really take care of our customers’ needs.” IGT Sales Manager Ron Babini said that IGT was very pleased to see such a positive response to the first EZ Pay system in Russia. “It’s a proven product in other gaming markets, and this success means you can, literally, play with EZ Pay in countries around the world.
