Gaming exhibition in Peru a success

IGT STAND A FAVOURITE

A gaming industry show without the presence of the world’s leading manufacturer of gaming machines and systems would hardly merit the title and International Game Technology (IGT) has a presence at all the major exhibitions. Yesterday the third annual Peru Gaming Show drew to a close after a very busy two days where the IGT stand, as always, drew the crowds.

Just this week IGT has celebrated the 100th installation of its Advantage System and applauded the latest MegaJackpots millionaire. The Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi has installed the Advantage System with a full suite of gaming products and software designed to attract and retain loyal casino customers, improve casino operations and increase the casino’s bottom line. The Palace will use the key marketing aspects of the Advantage System including the EZ Pay ticket in-ticket out. "This installation and start-up is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we'll be able to do with this system," said Keith Crosby, General Manager of the Palace Casino Resort. "Having the IGT toolbox is a huge competitive advantage for us as we can really let our imaginations go with the possibilities. The promotional and Bonusing opportunities will enhance both the value and the experience we're able to provide to our customers."

Starting this month with the installation of the Power Play system the casino will be able to offer qualifying players free slot play without the need to stand in line to redeem coupons. Power Point Play will allow players club points to be redeemed at their favourite slot or video poker machine. Both the new features offer the power and convenience of controlling the casino clients’ accounts. Richard Schneider, President of IGT Systems said, "The Palace has been a long-time IGT Systems customer that is upgrading its current IGS System to the most current and powerful technology available."

At the AVI Resort and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada Shigeko Ide Stein won the largest jackpot so far on IGT’s MegaJackpots. The business manager from California won $2,995071 on the penny slots when she took the only vacant seat at the four Twilight Zone games. Stein said she knew instantly that her maximum coin bet had won, but did not realize how much until she saw the other MegaJackpots(R) meters reset to $200,000. "I just had a good feeling after seeing a woman had a winning combination but didn't have a max coin bet," she added.

The TV Hits system from IGT links The Twilight Zone, M*A*S*H, The Beverly Hillbillies and I Dream of Jeannie video slots throughout Nevada casinos. All IGT MegaJackpots top awards are paid in annual instalments upon verification, except MegaJackpots Instant Winners Jackpots and Rapid Riches MegaJackpots awards, which are paid in their entirety upon verification.
