Innocore has announced offers to their customers of a broad selection of software products, with complementary board support packages that provide the complete set of drivers for edge-to-edge coverage of all hardware functions of the various Innocore hardware platforms, including the "DirectPCI SDK& Runtime package". This is the key driver and API covering all the gaming specific functions. DirectPCI includes the digital I/O subsystem, NVRAM, COM ports and anti-tampering systems.
Innocore's BSP includes drivers for Windows XP, Windows 7 (32bit), Windows XP Embedded, Windows Embedded 7 and Linux. These board support packages are field proven over many thousands of installs over the last 10 years offering reliability and stability to customers. The British company also offers what it calls “solution packages” such as DPX-Connector, DPX-SAS Engine, TPM Suite, SecureBoot, One-Wire SDK and DPX-Diagnostics. These are unique solutions to design issues commonly encountered when putting together an EGM.
As a designer and manufacturer of high performance hardware products, Innocore is very conscious of the importance of the supporting software. As a standard feature set, all products support, including: Detailed software manual detailing each feature and API ; Consistent APIs across all boards; Consistent APIs across all operating systems; Utilities for debugging and testing; Demonstration programs supplied as executables and source code; and On Windows XP Embedded/Windows Embedded Standard, components to allow easy inclusion of Innocore software in your embedded configuration.
As Innocore has grown, this basis has allowed them to put out new products, but more importantly to continuously improve the existing products, adding features, and increasing performance. So the current lineup of software products really represents many man-years of development and refinement. Innocore says that “new customers immediately benefit from this work and can deploy with confidence that the software will not let them down.”
In addition to regular products, Innocore’s software department can offer significant support and consulting, including: Linux and Windows multi-head graphics set-up; Custom firmware development; Custom BIOS settings; Custom BIOS code for security or diagnostics; and Generation of customer Linux and Windows XP OS images
As a result, Innocore concludes: “If we ask existing customers ‘what do you find most valuable about Innocore’s products?’ the answers very often mention the quality of the software, and the in-depth, competent technical support provided by the software support team.” The available products on offer confirm Innocore's commitment to continued improvement.
