Foxwoods Resort Casino claims to be the biggest casino in the world. Not unreasonably, then, when it comes to making a shopping list it’s not for tens or hundreds of items, but thousands. Bally Technologies has announced today that it has signed a contract with Foxwoods to supply 7,200 iVIEW slot-machine displays and player-centric Bally Power Bonusing technology. The iVIEW displays will allow Foxwoods to communicate more effectively with its players by highlighting bonusing features, special events, player-loyalty programs and convenience services across the entire slot floor.

"This is the single largest iVIEW order to date as our interactive displays continue to grow toward becoming the industry standard," said Richard Haddrill, CEO of Bally Technologies. "We certainly are proud of our long-standing partnership with Foxwoods and its team's confidence in our commitment to support such a spectacular resort with advanced Bally technologies." The agreement also contemplates reaching 10,000 iVIEW displays based on expansion plans at the casino resort.

"Bally's iVIEW is a powerful customer-relationship marketing tool that will absolutely enhance our new bonusing capabilities," said John O'Brien, President of Foxwoods. "Bally protected our investment in our existing Bally SMS system, but at the same time we will take a giant leap forward with the iVIEW-bonusing combination tying together both existing and future game-level applications. The ease-of-integration with our existing technology is also a tremendous benefit.” The advanced Bally technology package incorporated into the new project positions Foxwoods to embrace emerging network-based applications at the game level.

This year Bally is celebrating 75 years in the gaming industry. The company is an industry systems leader with more than 366,500 machines and, globally, 693 casino, bingo, Class II, central determination and lottery locations. In Spring 2008 MGM Grand at Foxwoods is scheduled to open, adding more gaming floor, spa, 4,000-seat Performing Arts Theatre, meeting space, restaurants and 826 guest rooms. (E-07.23.07)
