Leading trade show and exhibition organiser Clarion Events has announced that its Amusement Trades Limited subsidiary has sold three of its industry magazines to Gaming Business Media, the independent publishing company headed by John Sullivan. Gaming Business Media now owns International Casino Review together with sister titles Coinslot International and Betting Business, which join its international soft gaming and amusements periodical Games World.
Sullivan said:“Gaming Business Media is now the world’s biggest dedicated and independent publishing house serving the international gaming, gambling and betting sectors boasting three monthly titles, associated stand-alone publications and the world’s only year-round weekly print title covering amusements and low-stake high volume gaming. Since launching Casino Review in October of 2002, the entire team at Gaming Business Media has played their part helping to develop it into the flagship award-winning publication that it is today. As part of the sale agreement with Clarion, I am pleased to confirm that both organisations will continue to work closely together serving and representing the international casino industry.”
GBM has revealed that the purchase covers all assets and intellectual property rights relating to the three publications. Julian Graves, Managing Director for Clarion Gaming Exhibitions, commented: “It was very important for us to feel comfortable and safe in the knowledge that the publications were in the proper hands. We are looking forward to working with Gaming Business Media as the casino industry responds to the challenges of operating in the years ahead. Our best wishes and congratulations go to the entire team at Gaming Business Media, which has made International Casino Review such a respected publication.” (S-08.07.09)
