Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. has announced that Kent Young has been promoted to Global General Manager of Marketing, effective February 1, 2006 to oversee the Company’s global marketing strategy and direction. For the past three years Young has served as Vice President, Marketing for Aristocrat’s Americas business. In this position he helped lead the Company’s successful penetration of the North American market, playing an important role in shaping a successful marketing strategy, building a comprehensive games portfolio, and positioning and communicating a strong company image.
Aristocrat’s Chief Executive Officer Paul Oneile said: “I am confident that Kent will lead the global marketing team to new levels of success and play an integral role in the continued growth of Aristocrat’s market share worldwide. His creativity, passion, and vision have helped establish Aristocrat as one of the leading gaming manufacturers in the Americas, and we are delighted to recognize Kent’s achievements in that region with this promotion.”
Before being named Vice President of Marketing, Young held a number of positions with Aristocrat including Vice President of Research and Development; Director of Marketing; and Marketing Manager. He also served two years as a Sales Executive in the New South Wales market in Australia. Earlier in his career Young was General Manager of Southport Leagues Club. Ltd. He also held various management and sales positions in the Australian hotel and club industry. Young earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in strategic management from James Cook University, QLD, where he was awarded the Queensland Consulting University Prize.
Las Vegas-based Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. designs and markets gaming machines, casino management systems, progressive systems, and progressive jackpot meters.
