100% plastic cards back on the poker table

Fournier to supply EPT tournaments

EPT (European Poker Tour), the most prestigious poker tour with the biggest prize pool and the largest number of participants will trust again in Fournier Playing Cards for Season 6, which starts on August 18th in Kiev (Ukraine). After two seasons being the Official Tournament Cards, Fournier 100% Plastic Cards will be back to the tables of the 13 stops that the European Poker Tour will include during Season 6.

Last year’s PokerStars EPT season proved a massive success and overtook the WPT in terms of amount of players and prize pools. EPT Season 5 generated a total prize pool of almost €55 million (around US$77 million) with 7,980 players from 97 countries, of which 3,077 were PokerStars players. The four richest prize pools available in poker tournaments outside the United States last year occurred during the fifth season of the PokerStars EPT at: the PCA (US$12.7 million); Monte Carlo (US$12.3 million); San Remo (US$7.5 million); and Barcelona (US$7 million).

John Duthie, CEO of EPT said recently: “We have set very high standards and we aim to improve on this still further in Season Six - with new additions to the schedule as well as a richer mix of games and buy-ins to cater for more players.” All of them will play with Fournier 100% Plastic Cards, to many the finest cards in the world due to their durability, resistance, flexibility and unique shuffling.
