Digital Dynamics enables swift addition of S2S protocol

GSA ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF TOOL KIT

Originally created as an association of gaming manufacturers and suppliers in 1996 (GAMMA), the Gaming Standards Association has evolved into the present day’s membership that also includes gaming operators, regulatory advisors and other affiliate organisations. The focus of the GSA is the development and implementation of a series of electronic communication standards for casino gaming equipment.

With its aim to create value by facilitating technological innovations and efficiencies for the gaming community, GSA may not be at the glamorous end of the gaming spectrum, but it seeks to support standardisation and provide cost-effective technological solutions that are readily available to all. Last year GSA made an announcement to allow and encourage third-party development of protocol tool kits.

This week came the further announcement that Illinois-based Digital Dynamics has developed and released S2SConnect. Digital Dynamics has been working for several years with GSA towards gaming protocol standardisation. Tool kits are development suites that accompany standards and allow game manufacturers to implement and test the standard on their equipment.

S2SConnect enables gaming manufacturers to quickly add S2S (System-to-System) to their products. GSA President Peter De Raedt said, “Our goal is to encourage third-party companies to develop tool kits for our protocols to drive the speed of implementation. We are very pleased that Digital Dynamics answered that call. We believe that the industry will be excited about their S2SConnect tool.” (E-02.08.07)
