Almost as an exclusive piece, and minutes before meeting foreign and local press in Lima, Peru, Business & Leisures CEO Elizabeth Leiva confided that as organizers of the Peru Gaming Show 2006 they had just closed the deal to bring to their event, for the second year running, Korean outfit ACE A&G, manufacturers of the virtual horse racing game ACENT ASCOT.

At last year's event in Lima the Korean company received the "Best Foreign Stand" award from the organizers, who this year take the Peruvian event for the fourth year to the Jockey Plaza Mall Convention Centre in fashionable Monterrico. The show will run August 3 and 4 and Leiva commented, "We are the fastest growing gaming event, innovating vigorously and consolidating our leadership in the region."

Peru Gaming Show 2006 has already ensured the participation of over 70 casino industry leaders in what Leiva described as: "The casino industry event in South America with the best projection in the region," adding further that they had just, " managed to get ACE to take some 300 sq. feet to exhibit their exciting virtual horse racing game that was a raging success at the Colombia and Panama events earlier in the year."

CC Why do you say that the Peru Gaming Show shows greater potential?
From a location point, Peru is favoured geographically to be the focal point of the industry in South America. The industry leaders have their regional offices or have distributors in Peru because the market shows potential and constant growth, with more than 900 slots rooms and seven full casinos.

CC Exactly what is on offer to the visitors to the Peru Gaming Show this year?
This year, we are ensuring that our event shows a definite edge on other regional competitors and will impact the market with the first themed event ever that will include a Food Festival, conference and forums directed to the financial and banking sectors, as well as responsible gaming seminars presented by ALAJA, the Latin American operator’s association. Most of our events address the northern countries of the region, which will be represented by operators from Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador. Of course the most important companies in Chile will also attend our event, as well as 100% of the Peruvian operators.

CC Apart from ACE from Korea, who will exhibit in Peru?
We are honoured to count with the presence of IGT, Aristocrat, Recreativos Franco, Novomatic, Star Games, MGA Merkur Games, Belatra, Boss Gaming, Gold Club, Far Systems, Kubuk, Intervision, Anditech, Foster Chairs, Digideal, All Games, Hispania Casinos, CasinoCompendium, Casino International, Hot Games, Lab Cert, Yogonet, and many others. The Chilean Embassy will also be present to promote the new casinos in their country.

When we touched the matter of competition from other events in the region, Leiva said: "As in previous years, we have reserved space at the Peru Gaming Show for FADJA from Colombia, Monografie from Argentina, and Espacio Riesco from Chile. Everyone has the chance of taking part in our event and enjoy the excellence of our service with the special feminine touch we bring to this event.
