After the fair closing on August 28th, Peru Gaming Show communicates to the worldwide gaming community some details of what took place on the final phase and the smooth running of the event, as well as our plans for Peru Gaming Show’s 8th Anniversary on August 11th and 12th, 2010 in Lima Peru.

First of all, we appreciate your confidence in our organization, coming to Peru to enjoy a highly productive work day. On the other hand, our appreciation for the Peruvian people that has supported their own fair in spite of the economic crisis first semester. We all know that you are so proud of the product you have in hands and from now on you will protect it.

In addition, the priceless support of local and foreign visitors favoring the event with their presence, giving us their time, sharing their experiences and enthusiasm despite those hard moments we spent before the opening. Thanks Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Panamá, Venezuela, Colombia. Thanks United States and Canada. Thanks Bulgaria, Austria, Spain, Czechoslovakia, United Kingdom. Thanks China, Korea and Taiwan. Thanks Australia.

The Organization must inform about a subject that is already a well known secret: there was a conspiracy against Peru Gaming Show 2009. Until the last minute, we noticed frustration from the Leader of this campaign despite its countless efforts to destabilize the Show that finally opened according to the program. This person persevered in his campaign of misinformation, chaos, and call for awareness of locals and outsiders alike not to attend the Jockey venue; appealed to acquaintances in order to give up commitments made with our Organization, etc. A group of persons followed it, duly identified. Despite serious hitches we could raise just in 5 days, a temporary space to receive hundreds of visitors from Peru and all over the world.

We have to inform the International Gaming Market that this information came from reliable sources, hours before the opening of PGS, of specific topics, sustainable, that show aforementioned:

1. Scheduled visits to different companies of the capital city, by foreign people, fully identified up to date and even more severe, going with government officials, persuading national companies NOT TO participate this year in the PGS due to MINCETUR would not participate actively in our event, even before we were officially informed of this.
2. A misinformed e-mail, supposedly sent by the PERU GAMING SHOW server on August 26th, informing the event and conferences cancellation.
3. An e-mail between FADJA Colombia and Peru Convention Center showing interest in acquiring 5000 m2 for “events in our beautiful country”. Is there any interest to move around and paved the way? How many? Who are you? Do you know us? At the end of January 2010… very interesting.
4. Participation of people fully identified going to the Municipality of Surco finding out how we got the license to make the event PERU GAMING SHOW at a new location in a few days.
5. Exhibitors confirmed desperate calls on our Web Site, of a foreign person, fully identified, asking not to participate in the event 2009.
6. Calls to International Press asking not to come to PERU GAMING SHOW.
7. What’s new in the very event, different calls for Speakers asking them not to be in II Gaming Latin-American Encounter… believe it or not.

Adding the last ingredient to the sequence of unpleasantness, the news about the closure of the authorized location by the Municipio of Surco to make national and international events in our capital city in the Monterrico Race track Convention Center of Peru. Nine days before the PERU GAMING SHOW opening, we were informed about the unprecedented problem between the Municipio of Surco and Lima that made the closure of the Convention Center of Peru, leaving an entire Fair completely mounted with doors closed to the public, making a second Fair fall the same way, a week before ours.

Thanks to Mr. Martin Perez Monteverde, Ministry of our Area, as well as, Mr. Eduardo Ferreyros Kupers, Vice-ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism whom interviewed understood the problems of Peruvian businessmen involved, job at risk, direct-indirect, and high negative impact to our country, make no effort to protect as far as possible, the Third Event in danger to be cancelled or rescheduled. It was not an acceptable choice for our Organization, to tell everybody “it is cancelled or postponed”. But we found support in our Authorities and we got the necessary support to act fast. We have to emphasize the high level of ability and performance of these people that fortunately lead our area.

It is fully understood that we celebrated our 7th Anniversary in the middle of an adverse atmosphere, leaving a general displeasure and also to our Organization because after the short time we had to work in this event and for all the following distractions for the Aruba Gaming Show, we are really sorry for any inconvenience you could find. But on the other hand, we gave to you 1000% percent of our efforts, creativity, intelligence, strength to open doors at 2 o’clock on August 27th.

In the middle of this conspiracy and meanness to serve foreign interests rather than their own country, our Organization tried to show a high quality event. We left our sacrifice, efforts, pride, and why not, our low economy. Pride to save the name of our country, pride not to fall down in front of unable people and its lack of ethics, pride to work what all the others could not do and to show that when ¡we want, we can!, pride because ¡ We are in our country! And no foreigner will come and get us out of our country.

Today we review all the facts occurred with cool mind and we are very optimistic about the future: PERU GAMING SHOW though some may not like it, will grow and in 2010, and continue to make efforts for better results, triple much better, successful five times.

Thank you to the rest of the market. They are warm welcome to this land for a deeper knowledge on the benefits of our country, to feel a growth industry and the charm to be Peruvian, nobody will take away. PERU GAMING SHOW will be held on August 11 and 12, 2010. We already have support of the Industry worldwide leaders and we are working from now to compensate the impact caused in 2009.
