AIEJA, the Association of Gaming and Betting Permit Holders, Operators and Suppliers to the Entertainment Industry in Mexico, in association with Inspired, BetCRIs and Boss Gaming, have sent invitations to industry professionals to attend and take part in the Conferences and Exhibits at the JW Marriott Hotel in Mexico City, on May 4-5, starting at 10 AM. AIEJA says that its intention is to bring to the Mexican gaming operators current information on the industry in the country.
AIEJA’s invitations say: “We have pleasure in inviting (you) to our annual Forum, where we have the participation of experts in essential disciplines needed for the management and operation of gaming and betting rooms engaged in live gaming (table games), as the industry is developing in Mexico. The selected experts will contribute their professional expertise and know-how as part of the conference programme over two days. The latest gaming products also will be on show for the benefit of the industry.”
The conference series will start at 10 a.m. on May 4th, when Juan Marco Gutierrez, Under Secretary of the State Department (Secretaria de Gobernacion) – the industry regulators, will speak on “The Mexican Government’s Vision on Gaming”. In the next conference, Richard Williamson, Director of BMM Compliance, will speak on “Technical Standards for Lottery and Betting Equipment in Mexico (NOM)”; and Jose Luis Hernandez, CANIETI Executive will speak on “Studies on the Impact of Tobacco in Casinos”.
AIEJA sent a special invitation to this journal’s editor, Ricki Chavez-Muñoz, in his position as Senior Vice President of CGS International, casino operators in the Caribbean, to speak at the day’s last session on “Live (Tables) Gaming in Casinos”. Ricki has vast expertise in operations and casino development in a career that extends over three decades in countries such as England, South Africa, Colombia and Peru.
The conference sessions on May 5th will start with Lucien Wijsman, Director of The Slot Academy with the significant debate “Can we really prove that we are in control of our operations?” Lucien is a consultant for the University of Nevada´s Gaming Management Series, as well as a number of casinos in Europe. Oscar Paredes Arroyo, of Palacio de los Numeros, will speak next on “The Benefits of a New (Gaming) Law”, and Francisco Lecuaona of Casino Mex will close the conference programme speaking on “Online Gaming”.
