Barcelona-based Nova Desitec S.L., designer and manufacturer of video slot machines, has announced that its new products will incorporate the SAS protocol licensed by International Game Technology (IGT) to companies able to fulfil all the technical and administrative requirements. The protocol is necessary for operation in many countries that use it as the norm for communication and interconnection between slot machines in a casino.

When a slot machine is in use the SAS protocol allows for the quick and effective data handling allowing for a secure communication system. Nova Desitec will be able to offer its customers products with the best and most innovative features, expanding its market penetration globally.

Nova Desitec was founded in 1997 to offer quality and creativity in gaming machines, and is one of the few European companies to develop products from the initial concept, through the graphic design stage, and on to the development of both hardware and software. Its state of the art products are adapted to the different characteristics demanded in each market, facilitating flexibility and ease of distribution to clients.

Thöre Noll, Director of Sales and Marketing, says that Nova Desitec plans to increase the development of high-resolution games in order to cover even the most demanding markets. “Our next goal for this year is to finish at least 6 new games.” The first products with the SAS protocol will be ready during the first half of 2005.

Nova Desitec products, including some new designs, will be on view at the FADJA exhibition in Bogotá, Colombia from 6-7 April, together with their local distributor PMV. (E-03.15.05)
