The first of four new casinos to open under Iowa’s gaming expansion will open next month and Peninsula Gaming’s Diamond Jo Casino in Worth County will, like its other two casinos, have Aristocrat Technologies’ OASIS Casino Management System installed. Aristocrat is also providing 100 gaming machines for the new casino including Reel Power®, Money Honey™ and Mr. Cashman® Bonus Bank games and MKVI™ standalone games.
Peninsula Gaming, an Iowa-based entertainment company, owns and operates Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino in Opelousas, Louisiana and Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa. At the Worth County Diamond Jo Casino, opening in April, there is a 60,000 sq ft gaming floor with 500 slot machines. COO of Peninsula Gaming, Jonathan Swain commented, “We are thrilled about having such a large presence of Aristocrat games on our casino floor. Aristocrat’s high volatility, low-denomination model has proven to be the right formula for our player base and the Company’s games continue to be among the top performers at our operations.”
He added, “We are equally excited about implementing a new OASIS system, which has demonstrated to be both reliable and innovative at our other two casinos. Aristocrat technology advancements such as PersonalBanker® and Marketing Manager™ will allow us to attract new customers and maintain the loyalty of our current customer base.”
Las Vegas-based Aristocrat Technologies is a subsidiary of Aristocrat Leisure Limited, an Australian Stock Exchange listed company. Gavin Isaacs, President of Aristocrat Technologies, said, “Aristocrat is honored that Peninsula Gaming chose the Aristocrat OASIS system for its premier new Diamond Jo Casino. We appreciate our long-standing relationship with Peninsula and look forward to implementing our latest games and systems technology at Iowa’s newest showcase property.”
Aristocrat systems monitor more gaming establishments than any other. Its OASIS Casino Management System utilizes the popular Windows operating platform and advanced electronic monitoring equipment to collect, integrate, analyze, and report information on player and gaming activity. OASIS enables operators to link their revenue centers together, including casino, hotel, food and beverage, and other gaming areas. Standard OASIS applications include PersonalBanker®, Quickets™ ticket-in/ticket-out, OASIS™ Promotions Technology, and its industry-leading BlackBart™ online accounting system. (E-03.15.06)
