EasyStart casino system and High Drive progressives debut at FADJA 2009

Octavian introduces Spot The Ball in time for World Cup 2010

Octavian will show the entry-level Octavian EasyStart casino system for the first time at FADJA 2009 alongside High Drive, a new multi-level progressives system, and the new Spot The Ball virtual football game delivered in partnership with Gextech, creators of the Fantastic League.

Providing a low-cost entry route to Octavian’s end-to-end tables and slots management system, Octavian EasyStart is “a new and instantly affordable way for casino operators to deploy our world-class gaming management system in a simple step-by-step manner to drive efficiency and profitability, and also meet increasing regulatory requirements,” said Juan Carlos Olarte, General Manager Latin America North.

Octavian EasyStart requires little or no upfront investment in hardware and no upfront investment in system software – operators simply pay a competitive flat-rate monthly fee per table or slot machine. The system comes with full on-site consultancy, tailored set-up and powerful Business Intelligence tools.

To further emphasise the scope and flexibility of Octavian’s systems expertise, the company’s Symphony platform will also be demonstrated, running the new Spot The Ball game from Gextech. The tie-up between Gextech and Octavian enables this latest development from the creators of Fantastic League, the world’s leading virtual football game, to run on land-based fixed-odds terminals. Through Octavian, the land-based version of the game is available on both Symphony DE (Downloadable Games Edition) and LE (Lottery Edition), and also on other platforms.

“With the 2010 World Cup just over a year away, Spot The Ball couldn’t have arrived at a better time,” said Olarte. “This is a proven, easy-to-play format known by millions, but now delivered with eye-catching 3D action using the latest technology.”

High Drive, meanwhile, is a new variant of Octavian’s fully integrated auto-payout jackpot concept which connects small groups of gaming machines and one or more plasma displays into highly visual, revenue-generating hot spots. Featuring the distinctive, animated ‘Lucky Bird’ character, High Drive runs six progressive jackpots, two mystery jackpots and an initial set of four themed games – Pilot School, Night Taxi, Cinemania and Grand Cruise.

Completing Octavian’s systems, games and supplies line-up at FADJA will be P-Box and OctaVideo. P-Box is Octavian’s single-site progressives system for linking slots, signs and plasmas, while OctaVideo, a casino system add-on, is a cost-effective PC-based display system that runs high-quality video, live TV, real-time jackpot updates and more.
