New subsidiaries, new casinos for Olympic Entertainment Group

BECOMING CENTRAL EUROPE’S BIGGEST OPERATOR

In the month of April the biggest gaming company in the Baltic States, Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG), acquired subsidiaries in Slovakia and Poland and opened its tenth casino in Ukraine. It also completed a transaction to acquire AS Kristiine Kasiino and OÜ Casinova in Estonia and an OEG subsidiary entered an agreement to acquire three casinos in Romania from Empire International Game World. The company aims to become the casino operator with the largest turnover in Central Europe and to operate in at least ten countries by 2010.

The subsidiary in Slovakia, Olympic Casino Slovakia, has been established in preparation for entering the Slovakian gaming market. In Poland OEG has been granted permission for the acquisition of 80% of the shares of the Polish casino operator Casino Polonia-Wroclaw S.p.Z.o.o. The seven casinos previously owned by Casino Polonia will be rebranded as Olympic Casino, adding Poland to OEG operations in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and Romania.

The newest Olympic Casino opened in Kyiv, Ukraine at the end of April. Total investment was around US$1.5 million. The 270 sq m casino employs nearly 200 people and is located on one of the biggest streets of the city. As at all its casinos, OEG says it aims to give clients a customer oriented, secure and safe environment unparalleled in the industry, with the most efficient security and the best staff training to enable the group to offer the highest standards of quality and entertainment possible in the casino experience.
