AGEM announces party and concert for customers at G2E

‘A WORLD CELEBRATION OF GAMING’

The current Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) membership roster, 53 strong, is a who’s who of the supplier segment of the global gaming industry. In an unprecedented display of cooperation the AGEM has just announced it will host an invitation-only party and concert themed as “A World Celebration of Gaming” as part of the activities surrounding the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) event in November in Las Vegas.

Customers of AGEM-member companies from around the world will be invited to the event on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at The Orleans Arena featuring a closing concert by Grammy-award-winning headliner Kenny Loggins and a variety of other entertainment and surprises.

In the past during G2E, most of the larger slot machine companies would host elaborate parties that had their customers racing all over Las Vegas trying to attend as many of the events as possible. Now — with Aristocrat Technologies, Bally Technologies, International Game Technology (IGT) and WMS as title sponsors — competing companies from all over the world are working together in a show of appreciation to their global customer base.

“I think it’s remarkable that we have this kind of cooperation among our member companies,” said AGEM President Brooke Dunn, a Senior Vice President of Las Vegas-based Shuffle Master, Inc. “Whether you’re interested in table games, slot machines, peripheral devices, new technology or a variety of other products offered by AGEM members, this truly will be a celebration of you as our customer and for the gaming industry as whole.” (E-08.18.08)
