The presence of important gaming companies reasserts the trade show’s value

SAGSE Panama essential to Central America and The Caribbean

Companies such as Alfastreet, Aristocrat, Arrow International, Bally Technologies, Belatra, Gambling Hispano, Konami, TCS John Huxley, Industrias Cattan, MEI, Molina International, and Ed Roberts, amongst many others will be the highlight meeting more than 1,500 visitors who traditionally visit the Gaming Expo SAGSE PANAMA at the ATLAPA Convention Center.

The new Gaming projects already established in Panama and the ones being developed in this area are in need equipment, materials, solutions and services, and those companies who participate in the expo will be their first choice. During 2008, more than US$1.1 billion was played in the 16 existing casinos, 28 slot machine rooms, ten sports books, 6 bingos and the major regional racetrack, according to a recent report published by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

The Director of the Gaming Control Board has indicated that there are several applications for new gaming rooms and full casinos waiting for approval this year. Gaming experts and regulators say that the gaming industry in Panama follows in relevance only to Argentina, the region's most advanced country in the gaming sector.

Industry managers from the largest casinos in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Aruba, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and the most state-of-the art local ones have already confirmed their presence.
