As part of the Peru Gaming Show 2010, to be held on August 11-12 in Lima, and in celebration of its eighth Anniversary, the organizers have scheduled the following panelist selection for the IV Latin American Gaming Conference:
As special guest will feature Hosea Malope, CEO of Zonke Monitoring Systems /Pty Ltd., which provides the Central Electronic Monitoring System (CEMS) for the limited payout machine industry in South Africa, to the National Gaming Board in said country. The most important achievements of this company is the development of world first state of the art monitoring system, and being the major Gambling Systems Supplier in Africa, securing the distributorship of biometric products in Africa and other jurisdictions.
Richard Williamson, senior Vice President of the famous international gaming laboratory BMM, will discuss the key aspects of Fundamentals of Effective Gaming Regulation. Williamson, who has extensive experience in technical standards, international controls, regulations and rulemaking as well as gaming product testing, is one of the original global gaming certification experts and he thoroughly understands compliance issues from a regulator´s perspective.
National support for the event from selected industry professionals is led by Jose Miguel Chueca, from JMC Consulting Company Services, who will talk on Systems and Technology, based on his extensive experience in the Latin American market. Amongst his major achievements in the industry, Chueca led the creation of Certification Lab from the Catholic University of Peru, the first of its kind in the region, and after, started BMM Compliance operations in South America. This gaming professional’s most recent achievement was the signature of a cooperation agreement between Educativa SAC and the Gaming Standard Association.
Highlighting the importance of cyber fraud control in an era where companies and services protect our movements in binary systems, Cmdr Bruno Chavez Retamoso will lecture on the main types and causes of computer fraud in business and the use of the technology necessary to prevent such crimes. As an expert in this area in Peru’s Ministry of Interior, Cmdr Chavez Retamoso has advised several international organizations such as the USA Secret Service, OAS, French Embassy in Venezuela, on programmes for the prevention of money laundry, organized by the United States Government.
On the important contemporary issue of recycling, which is important in any responsible company, Carlos Orbegozo, Physical Engineering, Master of Science in Physical Technologies of University of Bucharest (Romania), and General Counsel of Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines, will speak on "Industrial Recycling” and the benefits it will provide to the company to follow new rules that will enhance the business economy and help the planet.
Cheryl Olson, who is associate director of management and executive programs in Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, is responsible for working with business and professional communities to identify create and facilitate a variety of management and executive programmes, as well as the development of online courses. Prior to joining the University of Nevada, Reno, Olson worked in the risk management field as an underwriter. Olson has 13 years of experience in programme development and design, instructor development, marketing, needs assessment and facilitating educational programs, nationally and internationally.
Finally, the great international consultant Mr. Michael Hlavsa, president of Signature Gaming Ltd., will give the keynote lecture on “Marketing Costs”. Signature Gaming has helped smaller gaming operators to expand into emerging gaming markets including Central and South America and the Caribbean. Hlavsa has been involved with the gaming industry since 1979, a span of 31 years, and is been licensed in five different gaming jurisdictions in the USA.
The last two important speakers, who participated for the first time in Latin America thanks to CGS Group, in Santo Domingo’s Caribbean Gaming Show – March 2010, return to support this major Latin American event full of enthusiasm, and to contribute with their experience and track record to further develop the skills of the gaming industry professional in the region, which year to year strongly supported the Peru Gaming Show.
