Poker In The Park has announced the endorsement of GamCare for this year’s festival in Leicester Square, London. Running August 13 & 14, Europe’s biggest poker festival will attempt to educate as well as entertain poker enthusiasts. Therefore, it is appropriate for GamCare to be on hand to offer leaflets and advice on the merits of responsible gambling.

GamCare, a registered charity, is the leading national authority on the provision of advice, practical help, support and counselling to address the social impact of gambling. The non-profit organisation takes a non-judgemental approach to gambling. GamCare’s aims are to:
• Improve the understanding of the social impact of gambling
• Promote a responsible approach to gambling
• Address the needs of those adversely affected by a gambling dependency
GamCare will have a booth at Poker in the Park offering information and advice to anyone who is interested.

Recognising the importance of responsible gambling is part of the poker make-up and the involvement of GamCare at Poker in the Park shows the festival’s dedication to responsible gambling and its continued effort to uphold standards in the game.

Thus, for the third year in a row, we have invited GamCare to participate in this fantastic event.
