The previously announced Online lottery contract with Lotería Electrónica de Puerto Rico has been signed.

News came September 23 of the signing of a deal that is worth $67 million over 7 years and includes the installation of 2000 terminals and a new central system with satellite and radio communication technology. The new system should be launched next year in March.

The Chairman and CEO of Scientific Games is Lorne Weil. In a statement he confirmed the importance of Puerto Rico as a new market and said that the company and its lottery partner should create substantial new growth for the beneficiaries.

In 2003 Lotería Electrónica had sales of $340 million and its director Teresita Carrion Geigel said the company is looking forward to seeing the results of putting innovative new products to work for customers.

Scientific Games Corporation is a leading supplier of instant tickets, lottery systems and services, and wagering systems and services to pari-mutuels. The company is licensed as a pari-mutuel operator in the Netherlands and in Connecticut and supplies pre-paid 'phone cards to telephone companies.
