Ritzio acquires venues in the Czech Republic and opens clubs in Romania

Million chain grows by 23 in 6 months

Ritzio International, a leading East European gaming clubs operator, has announced the completion of a transaction to acquire venues in the Czech Republic and also reports the launch of 23 gaming clubs in Romania.

The company has purchased two gaming locations in the Czech cities of Nymburk and Brandys nad Labem to expand its countrywide operations. These middle-size entry-level venues offer 700 square meters of gaming space and feature an impressive selection of slot and AWP machines, electronic roulettes and VLTs. This acquisition enables Ritzio to strengthen its position in the fast growing premium segment of the gaming retail market, which has been gaining popularity recently among the local players.

The new properties join a network of 36 gaming clubs managed by Ritzio Czech. Today the company plans a rebranding campaign to adjust all its locations to a single standard of operations management, design, customer service and hospitality. As the key brand for its Czech venues, Ritzio chose Volcano, the gaming brand operated by the company in five European countries.

Expansion has also been the key task for Ritzio Romania – the company has opened 23 new gaming clubs during the previous six months. Today Romania Ritzio is represented by 93 venues belonging to the Million chain and spread across the country’s urban areas. Million is a network of middle-size gaming clubs with a cozy and cheerful atmosphere, brightly colored interior and exterior design, and the most attractive game mix. The latest clubs opened in business and shopping centres of fifteen Romanian cities. (E-12.04.08)
