Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world’s first private gaming device and systems testing laboratory, is eager to announce its 5th Annual Users Conference/Regulators Roundtable this month. The three-day event takes place on February 15, 16 and 17 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and 200 regulators from 50 jurisdictions across North America and the Caribbean are expected to attend. GLI continues to present the roundtable free of charge as a service to the regulators, with a goal to update them on the latest developments in gaming technology.
GLI President and Co-founder James R. Maida said, "We decided to change the format of this year’s roundtable to consist of two full days of hands on information along with a third day for lab tours. This will make it easier for the regulators to see and learn about the latest technologies and developments in the gaming industry. Due to the rapid growth in gaming technology our roundtable continues to be an important asset for the regulators to efficiently regulate their jurisdictions".
Some of the topics to be discussed include: Server based/wireless technology, downloadable gaming, interoperability testing, forensic investigations/on-site inspections, hybrid table games and promotional technology. Presenting at the conference will be a variety of GLI staff and guest speakers. Speaking for GLI are James Maida, President; Patrick Moore, Technical Compliance Manager; Sean Mason, Senior Technical Compliance Engineer; Faisal Khan, Senior Compliance Engineer and Dave Arnold, Manager Information Technology. Additional GLI staff members will be available for one-on-one consultation.
Amongst guest speakers are: Clarence Greeno, Gaming Enforcement Manager, Missouri State Gaming Commission; Joe Osterloh, Chief of Compliance, Viejas Tribal Gaming Commission; Bob Cloud, Executive Director, Paskenta Gaming Commission; Phil Orosco, Chief Gaming Agent, Agua Caliente; Russ Ristine, Gaming Consultant, Gaming Standards Association; and Yvon Blais, Gaming Manager, Kobertron, Inc.
